Here at Summer School, we really are like a family. We try our best to look out for each other and to keep ourselves and our colleagues both happy and entertained.
You may find that after you accept your spot in Summer School after auditions you receive a flurry of friend and follow requests on social media. This is normal and our existing members are encouraged to add any new cast members and continue to foster an environment of ‘inclusion’ throughout the production period.
The primary methods of communication during the season are:
Official Company Communications: Email
Official Production Communications: Private Facebook Group
Official Resources such as Scripts and Downloads: The Download Centre on this website
Unofficial Group Chats
We strongly discourage any ‘non-official’ group chats as this can lead to an exclusion and/or isolation of any cast and/or crew members not included in the group.
Nicknames
It is a bit of an Old Nick tradition that the names of cast and crew online or in person are given quirky nicknames that develop organically during the course of the production. Whilst this is fun and encouraged, we do ask you to be mindful of new members and to avoid changing names too early and/or too frequently until everybody gets to know each other.
Respect
Behaviour online must still adhere to the Code of Conduct and that means fostering an environment of ‘inclusion’ and showing respect for all persons even if their views differ from your own.
