Unless the Director tells you otherwise, it’s up to you whether you would like to wear makeup on stage or not. Our recommendation is to apply at least foundation and a small amount of lipstick or lip pen. Makeup is not supplied by the company so each person is responsible for purchasing and managing their own makeup.
Go to Priceline (or similar) and ask the sales staff for help buying a foundation that suits your skin. You will probably find a pump bottle is easiest to manage.
While you are there, also buy a foundation sponge (to apply the foundation) and a small lipstick (or lip liner/ lip pencil) of your choice.
Wet the foundation sponge under running water
Squeeze out as much of the water as you can, and dry the sponge lightly with a paper towel leaving it just a wee bit ‘damp’
Add two pumps of foundation to your palm
Dab it onto your face and neck - don’t worry about making it look perfect - that part comes next
Take your damp sponge and gently dab, dab, dab - never smudge or swipe - the side of the sponge over your face to seamlessly melt the foundation into your skin. Use the pointed tip of the sponge to blend out the foundation around your nose and eyes.
