In regards to social media, we want to make sure you all understand that bullying counts even if it is not directly communicated to the person. You cannot trust that gossip and hurtful comments made in private chats will remain private. We also ask that when you post photos to social media, that you are conscious of your surroundings. Don’t take photos whilst people are changing, and please don’t post photos in your costume or of the set unless we have okayed it first.
You may be called upon to attend publicity calls and participate in social media activities, and often there is only short notice for these calls. This is an integral part of promoting the show, attracting ticket sales and ensuring the production’s success.
We will try to involve as many people as possible in publicity events but appreciate that people are busy and requests might come at very short notice. If you receive any requests from the media (outside of the Production Team), please direct them to the Director or Production Manager.
We encourage you to promote the show on social media. Keep in mind the following:
Use the official hashtag #oldnicktheatreco where appropriate
Remain positive in all communications, do not be disparaging of the show, staff, cast, crew or partners
Feel free to recognise and support local businesses. Many have been doing it tough and would appreciate a friendly shout out
Do not post any images in or out of costume or backstage or onstage or in any rehearsal venue without seeking approval
