The Committee of Management runs the company and ensures that everything the organisation does supports its vision, purpose and aims. They establish the fundamental values, ethical principles and strategic direction in which the organisation operates.
This includes ensuring that the association complies with its rules and the requirements of the Associations Incorporations Act, such as those regarding calling and holding meetings.
Committee Members have a lot of responsibilities but primarily they must:
Acting honestly and in the best interest of the association
Exercising care, skill and diligence in carrying out their roles
Ensuring a safe environment; and
Managing the money and bank accounts
