Learning Choreography

Throughout the production you will be supported by the Choreographer who will be in attendance at most of the rehearsals. The choreographer will take you through each routine in small sections allowing you to learn the steps - before tying it all together with the music. The dance part of the rehearsals are usually filmed to enable you to practice at home, track progress as well as for the benefit of any person who is not able to attend a particular rehearsal.

Top Tips:

• Make use of the videos (usually posted to the Facebook group)

• Don’t be afraid to ask for clarification on any parts you aren’t sure about

• Consider a choreography cheat sheet

You may find creating your own choreography cheat sheet is a good way of helping you learn the steps, tracking changes to the routines and also is a handy refresher if you need a quick reminder of a routine backstage!
